Residents Have Been Waiting For, KJP Phase I Waves Of Two Liquids Next Week

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Education Office will disburse the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) Plus phase I for wave two of 2024 next week. The distribution of KJP has been eagerly awaited by the public.

Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Education Office, Budi Awaluddin, said that currently his party is still final verification of the education sector social assistance funds.

"Our verification process is accelerating with a target of one month. So that the distance of the recipients of phase I wave two is not too far from wave one," Budi said in his statement, Sunday, July 7.

There are 130,101 data on prospective KJP Plus recipients that must be re-verified in phase I wave two. Budi emphasized that verification is an important process that must be carried out strictly and selectively so that the distribution of aid is right on target.

For this reason, the DKI Disdik formed a special joint team involving relevant stakeholders, such as the Department of Empowerment, Child Protection and Population Control (DPPAPP), the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Social Service.

"Our hope is that in the future the people of Jakarta will be more prosperous through increasing education. Hopefully, the community can take advantage of the assistance provided appropriately and carefully, so that we have a superior generation towards Indonesia Gold 2045," said Budi.

Previously, the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono asked the DKI Jakarta Education Office to accelerate the disbursement of the second wave of KJP Plus in 2024.

Bearing in mind, some of the KJP recipients have not yet received the disbursement of the education aid funds. This complaint was made by residents when Heru made a visit to Palmerah, West Jakarta, some time ago.

"Later, I will ask for an acceleration (disbursement to all KJP recipients)," Heru told reporters in Central Jakarta, Thursday, July 4.

The KJP complaint that has not been disbursed has also been conveyed by a number of residents on the DKI Jakarta Education Office's Instagram account. They asked for certainty about the status of the KJP disbursement of students who are still in the verification process.

The DKI Jakarta Education Office has disbursed the KJP Plus phase I gradually starting June 13. The first batch of KJP Plus was distributed to 460,143 recipient students.

Meanwhile, in the second batch of KJP Plus, the DKI Provincial Government will still re-verify 130,101 prospective recipients to ensure that these residents are from underprivileged groups.
