Prabowo Praises Jersey Indonesia For The 2024 Paris Olympics By His Son

JAKARTA - Minister of Defense (Menhan) who is also the elected president for the 2024-2029 period Prabowo Subianto attended the launch of the jersey for the Indonesian national team for the 2024 Paris Olympics at the Nusantara Garden The Dharmawangsa Hotel, South Jakarta. He praised the work of his son, Didit Hediprasetyo.

Prabowo was greeted directly by KOI Chairman Raja Sapta Oktohari, Chef de Mission (CdM) of the Indonesian contingent for the 2024 Paris Olympics Anindya Bakrie, and Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo.

"Yes, I got an invitation. Jersey Olympics for our team. I think it's good," said Prabowo, Friday, July 5.

While at the location, the former Danjen Kopassus greeted the invited guests. Prabowo also looked closely at the design of his son's uniform, Didit Hediprasetyo.

In the future, Prabowo hopes that the Indonesian team can perform excellently at the 2024 Paris Olympics. They must also be enthusiastic and confident in the event.

As previously reported, the jersey for the Indonesian contingent that appeared at the 2024 Paris Olympics in the middle of this year was officially released. The costume was inspired by the song "Be Flying Banderaku" and was designed by Didit Hediprasetyo.

Didit Hediprasetyo, who is a seasoned designer, admitted that he was inspired when he heard the song.

"So, at that time I had research and then heard the song Berkibarlah Banderaku. It became an inspiration for making this costume," he said at the launch.

The official Indonesian team's uniform consists of the dominant color red and white which is a symbol of the bandera. On the left chest, there is a Garuda Pancasila symbol framed with a circle shield and dark set.

There is also a special set of motif uniforms that will be worn when receiving medals. In addition, the Indonesian contingent is also equipped with additional uniform sets that must be used during training and other official areas.

Especially for athletes, there are sets of sports clothes in the form of t-shirts, short pants, track pants, and jersey playing kits. Everything is available according to the needs of each sport that departs for France.

The 2024 Paris Olympics will take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024. Indonesia is one of the 206 delegates who will appear in the latest multi-events.

A total of 29 athletes have confirmed themselves to appear there. They are targeted to have more than two gold medals for the first time in the history of Indonesia's participation in the Olympics.
