Vice President Appreciates The Establishment Of The PPDB Task Force: Cheating Parties Think Ten Times

Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin stated that the establishment of a New Student Admission Task Force (PPDB) so that supervision of alleged fraud in a number of regions can be more stringent and focused.

"If this monitoring doesn't work, it's still happening, I don't think it's the task force that's wrong, so the supervision is tighter, so we're more focused on observing," said Vice President Ma'ruf Amin after attending the opening of the 2024 Asian Pacific Aquaculture (APA) in Surabaya, East Java (East Java), Thursday, July 4, confiscated by Antara.

With the formation of the task force, said the Vice President, it is hoped that the PPDB process in the future can be carried out more in an orderly manner and fraud can be abolished.

The vice president also hopes that the PPDB task force will make people who want to commit fraud can think repeatedly.

"In order to make the party who will do (cheating), because there is already a task force, it is thought dozens of times to do that because there are institutions that directly monitor it, spy directly, so that it can run well later. I think that," said the vice president.

On the previous occasion, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK) Muhadjir Effendy proposed the establishment of a PPDB Task Force involving elements of the prosecutor's office, police, and related agencies ranging from the central to regional levels.

"Yesterday I conveyed to the President and is currently waiting for the Presidential Decree (Keppres). If later the Presidential Decree has gone down, hopefully in the near future we can enforce it properly. Currently, there is no instrument that we can use to take action, because the prosecutor's office and the police have not been involved, even though it is clear that the violation is a violation," said Coordinating Minister Muhadjir in Jakarta, Monday, July 1.
