Garut Satpol PP Seals Building Of Banned Trust Flow Group

The Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) together with a team from the Garut Regency Community Trust Flow Supervision (PAKEM), West Java, sealed buildings that were misused by groups of people for places of worship in certain faith flows that were prohibited by the government.

"Based on the Dumas (community complaints), the building that was previously sealed by the Pol PP was because it was used by certain congregations that were prohibited by the government," said Garut District Satpol PP Head Usep Basuki Eko as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 7.

The joint team sealed the building in Nyalindung Village, Ngaglang Village, Cilawu District, Tuesday (2/7) night, because it was used for certain confidence-flow congregations.

Garut Satpol PP, which had previously sealed the place, he said, is currently reportedly being used again for the same activity, so that it was again sealed out of fear that it could provoke conflict in the community.

The sealing, which was led directly by the Head of the Garut Satpol PP, went smoothly, and the situation on the ground was under control and was safe. Officers installed Satpol PP lines and boards that read messages about the building being sealed.

Usep conveyed that the sealing was a warning sign that certain flow groups should not carry out similar activities in that place. Officers also closed access and locked the building.

The sealing, said Usep, was equipped with a sealing report signed by the PP Police Investigator, the owner of the building, and three witnesses, namely the Head of the Cilawu Police, elements of the Koramil, and the head of the local RW.

"Not only sealing and installing Pol PP Line, but closing all entry access by locking and installing boards and plywooding triplex, according to the SOP," he said.

The building owner also underwent further examination, then asked to no longer use the place for worship activities for certain flow groups prohibited by the government.

If they return to using the place for certain flow activities, he said, then his party asks the owner to dismantle it independently, otherwise it will be dismantled by the Satpol PP.

"The Satpol PP will not hesitate to dismantle the building if it is not demolished independently," he said.
