Jayapura City Government Reminds Local ASN Not To Get Involved In Online Gambling

JAKARTA - The Jayapura Papua City Government reminded local State Civil Apparatus (ASN) not to be involved in online gambling.

"Because if you are involved in online gambling, there must be sanctions according to the rules. So we hope that there will be no ASN within the Jayapura City Government who are involved in this activity," said Jayapura City Regional Secretary Frans Pekey in Jayapura, quoted from Antara, Sunday, June 30.

According to Pekey, until now there have been no reports of ASN Jayapura City Government being involved, so his party continues to supervise ASN through the inspectorate.

"We also urge the local community not to get involved in online gambling, because it is very detrimental to both yourself and your family," he said.

He explained that if in the future there are ASN involved in online gambling, sanctions will be given in accordance with the regulations that regulate this matter.

"For this reason, it is to pay attention to all ASN within the Jayapura City Government, because ASN must be an example for the community," he said again.

Frans Pekey added that his party invites the ranks of ASN in his area to stay focused on their duties and responsibilities in serving the community with integrity and professionalism.

His party will also continue to provide education to the public regarding online gambling so that the local young generation can avoid being addicted to online gambling.
