JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) together with the leadership of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) agreed to hold the MPR RI Annual Session on August 16, 2024, to be held as usual at the DPR/MPR RI Building, Senayan, Jakarta.

"We are discussing this, the President and the DPR have agreed to attend the MPR annual session on August 16, 2024 at the DPR/MPR RI building, whose trial process or method has been decided to be the same as the MPR annual session in previous years," he said.

He said the Annual Session of the MPR RI which was routinely held ahead of the commemoration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia contained reports of the leaders of constitutional state institutions.

The consultation meeting was attended by the Chairman of the MPR RI Bambang Soesatyo, along with eight Deputy Chairs of the MPR RI, namely Ahmad Basarah, Ahmad Muzani, Jazilul Fawaid, Sjarifuddin Hasan, Muhammad Hidayat Nur Wahid, Yandri Susanto, Muhammad Amir Uskara, and Fadel Muhammad, and the Secretary General of the MPR RI Siti Fauziah.

Meanwhile, he was present to accompany President Jokowi, namely Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Hadi Tjahjanto, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.
