DKI KPU Asked To Immediately Implement The Constitutional Court's Decision On The Chair Of The DPRD

The Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the DKI Jakarta Democratic Party has asked the General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta to immediately implement the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) after recapitulation at 233 polling stations (TPS) in Cilincing, North Jakarta.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Democratic Party DPD Strategic Communication Agency (Bakomstra) Taufik Hidayat said the results of the re-voting recapitulation at the North Jakarta City KPU level stated that the seat belonged to the Democratic Party.

"So the Constitutional Court's decision must be carried out immediately by the DKI Jakarta KPU," he said when confirmed in Jakarta, Friday, June 28.

According to Taufik, from the recapitulation results, the Democratic Party received 25,010 votes and was above the Nasdem Party with 24,354 votes.

He explained, from the previous disputed D result form, the Democratic Party votes received 24,993 votes under the Nasdem Party with 25,033 votes.

"We remind all parties to respect these results in accordance with the final and binding Constitutional Court decision regarding the dispute over the election of the Constitutional Court's decision on the case 09-01-14-11/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024 which has been recapitulated for re-voting in electoral district 2 North Jakarta," he said.

Secretary of the DKI Jakarta Democratic Party DPD, Firmansyah, said the struggle of Democratic Party cadres bore fruit even though many dynamics had to be passed.

The DKI Jakarta KPU is holding a plenary meeting on the results of the re-voting recapitulation which states that the Democrat Party has received a seat in the Electoral Area (Dapil) Jakarta II.

"There have been various dynamics that have been passed, finally the fruit of the struggle of Democratic candidate Neneng Hasanah was accommodated, vote inflation fraud has been proven in the Constitutional Court or at the North Jakarta KPU," he said.

Firmansyah added, with the recapitulation, it shows the suspicion that one of the parties inflated votes up to more than 2,100 votes from 233 polling stations in Cilincing District, North Jakarta.

Previously, the Constitutional Court had ordered a re-voting recapitulation at 233 polling stations in Cilincing District, North Jakarta, in a trial dispute over the results of the 2024 Legislative Election (Pileg) which took place on Monday last week.

The decision was handed down to case Number 09-01-14-11/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024 which was submitted by the Democratic Party to fill out members of the DKI Jakarta Regional Electoral DPRD (Dapil) Jakarta II. The Nasdem Party became related parties in the case.

"Granted the petitioner's petition for part. To declare that the vote acquisition of candidates for DKI Jakarta DPRD members for the Jakarta 2 electoral district at 233 polling stations in Cilincing District must be recapitulated," said Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Suhartoyo when reading the verdict at the Constitutional Court Building, Central Jakarta.
