Virtual Tours In The US Are A Great Way To Get Home

Tuesday, March 17, national park managers in the United States (US) with other services have provided free virtual tour access. For this reason, managers have begun to change and modify existing services in 419 national parks in the US to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

As reported by CBS News, US Home Secretary David Bernhardt said this was realized so that visitors and employees would not be affected by COVID-19. "The health and safety of our visitors, employees, volunteers and partners is a national park service priority,"

Not only that, "Park supervisors are empowered to modify their operations, including closing facilities and canceling programs, to deal with the spread of the coronavirus," added David.

So far, the national parks that have closed access to the public are Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, Yosemite National Park in California, and Ellis Island and Liberty Island in New York. The rest, followed. Big Bend National Park in Texas, White Sands National Park in New Mexico, Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania and Volcano National Park in Hawaii are starting to close visitor centers, overnight campers and museums.
