JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned the former Head of the Indonesian Ministry of Health's Health Crisis Center (Kemenkes) Budi Badya today, Wednesday, June 26. He was asked for information regarding the alleged corruption in the procurement of personal protective equipment (PPE) in 2020. "Today is scheduled to examine witnesses," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, June 26. In addition, investigators in this case also summoned Satrio Wibowo, who is the President Director of PT Energi Kita Indonesia. “ The investigation was carried out at the KPK's Red and White Building,” said Tessa. The examination material has not been detailed, but Budi Badya and Satrio Wibowo are among the parties prevented from leaving the country in this case. In addition, there are also new names that have been prevented from leaving the country in this case, namely a doctor with the initials SLN and two private sectors, ET and AM. Previously reported, the KPK named a suspect in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) for the period 2020-2022 or during the COVID-19 pandemic. The number is more than one person but his identity has not been disclosed.

From the results of the temporary investigation, the value of state losses caused reached hundreds of billions of rupiah. The project value is IDR 3.03 trillion for the procurement of 5 million PPE packages.
