JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that his party was gathering information regarding disturbances that occurred at the National Data Center or PDN.
PDN disturbances are known to cause a number of public services to experience problems.
"We are gathering information," Sigit told reporters, Monday, June 24.
Not only that, the National Police are also collaborating with the National Cyber and Crypto Agency or BSSN to explore the cause of the disturbance in the PDN.
Including, ascertaining the initial cause whether it was due to technical problems or ransomware attacks.
"We are exploring collaborating with BSSN whether there are technical problems or something else," he said.
Sigit also said that while seeking information, the National Police would follow the development of the problem, one of which was asked about the alleged ransomware attack.
Improvements will also be made so that the public service system, which had experienced problems, would recover.
"So of course we follow every development, especially if the potential arises from attacks, there are several security systems that of course we must implement in ways, one of which is that the security system must achieve a certain tier. So that then it will be safer," said Sigit.
