Alexander Marwata's Commemoration To Investigator Harun Masiku: Receive Order From Outside, I Fire!

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Alexander Marwata emphasized that he would not hesitate to fire the investigation team of the Harun Masiku case if caught getting orders from outside. They are reminded to be professional in their duties.

"Don't follow directions from outside, that's the direction of the leadership," Alexander told reporters in the Tebet area, South Jakarta, Friday, June 21.

"That's the order and direction of the leadership, don't let you take action to follow orders and orders from outside," he continued.

Alexander said he was ready to fire anyone who was caught playing in this case if it really existed. "If you find out you have received orders from outside, I will fire you," he said.

As previously reported, Harun Masiku became a fugitive after being named a suspect in giving bribes to former KPU Commissioner Wahyu Setiawan to serve as a member of the DPR through interim shifts (PAW).

The investigators have now examined four witnesses to find Harun's whereabouts after pocketing new information. One of them is PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto on Monday, June 10.

During the examination, KPK investigators also confiscated cellphones and notebooks which were claimed to contain the 2024 Pilkada winner held by Hasto Kristiyanto Staff, Kusnadi. This made PDIP suspect that politicization had occurred.

In addition, the confiscation resulted in reporting to the KPK Supervisory Board to Komnas HAM. Anti-corruption commission investigators are considered to have worked by not following the applicable rules.

In fact, Kusnadi's lawyer, Ronny Talapessy and his team also returned to provide additional evidence to the KPK Supervisory Board on Thursday, June 20. He said Commissioner Rossa Purbo Bekti was suspected of committing a serious ethical violation.
