The Head Of The PDIP Agency Was Prevented From Going Abroad Regarding Allegations Of Corruption In The Procurement Of Basarnas Trucks

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has again asked the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to prevent three people from leaving the country regarding allegations of corruption in the procurement of trucks at the National SAR Agency (Basarnas). One of the things prevented was the former Main Secretary (Sestama) of Basarnas Max Rudand Boseke as well as the Head of the PDIP Agency.

"On June 12, 2024, the KPK has issued Decree (SK) Number 782 of 2024 concerning the Prohibition of Traveling Abroad," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika in a written statement, Thursday, June 20.

Apart from Max, continued Tessa, the two people prevented were Anjar Sulistiyono who is a commitment-making official (PPK) and a private company named William Delima Mandiri. This prevention is carried out over the next six months to facilitate ongoing investigations.

(Prevention, ed) related to the investigation of alleged corruption in every person who unlawfully commits acts of enriching himself or another person or corporation that can harm state finances or the state economy cq of the National SAR Agency related to the procurement of trucks transporting personnel and rescue carrier vehicles and/or procurement of other service goods," explained the spokesman with the investigator's background.

Previously reported, the KPK opened an investigation into alleged corruption in the procurement of trucks in Basarnas in 2014. The actions of these suspects are suspected of causing state losses of up to tens of billions.

In 2023, the anti-corruption commission has asked the Directorate General of Immigration to prevent three people from leaving the country, namely former Sestama Basarnas Max Rudand Boseke; PPK Basarnas Anjar Sulistiyono; and Director of CV Delima Mandiri, William Widarta. The head of the KPK News Section, Ali Fikri, at that time, said that this effort was made to facilitate the ongoing investigation process.
