Airlangga Affirms Ridwan Kamil's Certainty Forward To The Jakarta Gubernatorial Election Depends On The Survey

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto responded to the statement by the Chairman of PAN Zulkifli Hasan or Zulhas regarding the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) party agreeing to carry Ridwan Kamil forward in the Jakarta gubernatorial and deputy governorial elections (Pilgub).

According to Airlangga, Ridwan Kamil's certainty that the Jakarta gubernatorial election (West Java) will run, is still waiting for the results of his electability survey.

"Yes, of course (Pilgub) Jakarta, we are still waiting for the last survey," said Airlangga at his residence, Jalan Widya Chandra, South Jakarta, Wednesday, June 19.

Airlangga said that the general chairman of KIM will decide together the best for Ridwan Kamil, whether to run for the Jakarta or West Java gubernatorial election. The results of the electability survey are one of the consideration factors for Ridwan Kamil's placement in the 2024 Pilkada.

"Of course later we will decide together," said Airlangga.

Previously, Zulkifli Hasan said that he had proposed Ridwan Kamil to run for the Jakarta gubernatorial election to the chairmans of KIM and President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). According to Zulhas, all the chairmanes of KIM's political parties agreed that Ridwan Kamil would run for the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

"I propose Ridwan Kamil in Jakarta. All (ketum political parties KIM) agree," Zulhas at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, last Friday.

It's just that, said Zulhas, the meeting has not yet decided on the person who will accompany Ridwan Kamil to run in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.
