Bobby Nasution Ready To Fight Against Ahok And Edy Rahmayadi In The North Sumatra Gubernatorial Election

Chairman of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto handed over a letter of support to the Mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution at his residence, Jakarta, Wednesday (19/5/2024).

Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution said he was not afraid to fight the two big names who would run in the 2024 North Sumatra Governor and Deputy Governor Election (Pilgub), namely former DKI Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok and former North Sumatra Governor Edy Rahmayadi. Bobby Nasution admitted that he was ready to fight the idea of building North Sumatra with Ahok and Edy Rahmayadi.

"Yes, I have to look at the idea, yes, what I said earlier, not personally, not oh ready to fight A the B, but we will fight the idea later," said Bobby at the residence of the General Chairperson of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto, Jalan Widya Chandra, South Jakarta, Wednesday 19 June.

Bobby Nasution actually welcomed it positively if Ahok and Edy Rahmayadi ran in the 2024 North Sumatra gubernatorial election. According to Bobby, many candidates who participate in the contest will have a positive effect on democracy.

"Yes, it's good, I say more and more names, the more individuals who want to come forward, the more candidates who want to move forward the good, because this is not about who they are and who they are, but about their ideas," Bobby explained.

Previously, Bobby Nasution had officially obtained a ticket for support for the North Sumatra gubernatorial election on November 27, 2024, from the Golkar Party. His support ticket was obtained after Sowan went to the residence of the General Chairperson of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, at his residence, Jalan Widya Chandra III, Jakarta, last Wednesday.

"I received a visit from Mr. Bobby, the mayor of Medan, who on this occasion discussed that Mr. Bobby will run for governor of North Sumatra and has received support from several parties including the Golkar Party," said Airlangga after receiving a gathering and meeting with Bobby Nasution.

The Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party Ahmad Doli Kurnia Tandjung handed over to Bobby. Apart from Airlangga and Doli, the handover of this support was also attended by the Chairman of the North Sumatra Golkar DPD Musa Rajeksah or commonly called Ijeck, a Golkar cadre who served as Menpora Dito Ariotedjo and a young Golkar Party cadre Sekar Tandjung.

"This support is still one name for the governor candidate. Later it will be equipped as a partner. Of course with the pair chosen by Mr. Bobby," said Airlangga.
