Judge At The Rizieq Shihab Session In The Bogor Ummi Hospital Case: Use The Right Mask, Not On The Neck

JAKARTA - Habib Rizieq Shihab is back on trial at the East Jakarta District Court. This time Rizieq Shihab is being tried for the swab test case at the Bogor Ummi Hospital.

The judge opened the trial by asking the identity of Rizieq Shihab. This trial was held virtually. Rizieq Shihab is at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit Building.

"Is it true that you are Muhammad Rizieq Shihab alias Habib Muhammad Rizeq Shibab," said the panel of presiding judges at the East Jakarta District Court, Tuesday, March 16.

"Can you hear my voice?" asked the judge.

"Yes, I was present from the National Police Headquarters. At this point I clearly (heard)," said Rizieq Shihab in response.

The judge again asked the identity of Rizieq Shihab. "My name is Rizieq Shihab in Jakarta, Petamburan 1965," said Rizieq.

Before the trial resumed, the judge reminded prosecutors, attorneys and court visitors to apply health protocols. He reminded us to wear a mask properly.

"Masks are used properly, don't neck. The cellphone signal is turned off," he said.

"What do you do," asked the Judge. "The work of an Islamic religion teacher," said Rizieq.

In this case, Bareskrim Polri named three suspects, including Rizieq Shihab, Hanif Alatas, and President Director (Managing Director) of Ummi Hospital, dr. Andi Tatat.

They are named as suspects based on their case titles. The investigators assess that they have committed a criminal act so that their status is upgraded from witness to suspect.
