PT Hutama Karya (Persero) or Hutama Karya has completed the construction of a cement production facility owned by PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk (SBI) in Glondonggede Village, Tambakboyo District, Tuban Regency, East Java.

The facilities that have been inaugurated and are ready to operate are believed to strengthen the national cement distribution capacity as well as support the increase in exports to the global market.

The inauguration of the facility, which took place on June 11, 2026, also marked the start of cement exports to the United States through the symbolic pressing of the button by stakeholders, including PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG), SBI, Taiheiyo Cement Corporation (TCC), and Hutama Karya.

The construction of the facility is part of the Talavera Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Project which has been carried out by Hutama Karya since 2022. This project has been declared completed after the issuance of the Taking Over Certificate (TOC) on April 11, 2026 which confirms that all work meets technical and operational requirements.

One of the advantages of this facility is the use of a 4.2 kilometer tube conveyor which is referred to as the largest capacity tube conveyor in Southeast Asia. The system is the backbone of cement distribution from the production area to the shipping facility so that the logistics process can run faster, more stable, and efficient.

In this project, Hutama Karya also built supporting infrastructure in the form of a new pier consisting of a jetty trestle and a jetty platform that is integrated with existing facilities. The presence of this infrastructure allows for an increase in distribution capacity through the sea route, supports export activities, and strengthens connectivity between production facilities and ports.

The Talavera project is part of a strategic cooperation between SBI and TCC. Through this collaboration, the facilities that have been built will support the distribution of products to meet the needs of export markets managed by TCC, while strengthening Indonesia's position as one of the competitive cement industry players in the global market.

Acting Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary of Hutama Karya Hamdani said the completion of this project demonstrates the company's ability to provide industrial infrastructure that is able to meet the needs of the business world and support national economic growth.

"The construction of this pier and production facilities is a manifestation of Hutama Karya's commitment to providing quality infrastructure that adds value for customers and stakeholders," he said in an official statement, Sunday, June 14.

"We are proud to be part of the development of strategic facilities that will strengthen logistics efficiency, increase distribution capacity, and support the expansion of Indonesian products to global markets," he continued.

Hamdani added that the success of the project reflects Hutama Karya's ability to work on large-scale EPC projects while still prioritizing aspects of quality, work safety, and implementation accuracy.

According to him, the completion of the Talavera Project further strengthens Hutama Karya's portfolio in the industrial and EPC sectors and confirms the company's ability to provide integrated construction solutions to support national industrial growth and improve Indonesia's competitiveness at the international level.

"In the future, Hutama Karya states that it will continue to be committed to providing infrastructure that provides real benefits for businesses and the community, strengthening national logistics connectivity, and encouraging sustainable economic growth through quality development and global competitiveness," he concluded.
