GORONTALO - Member of the Indonesian Parliament, Rachmat Gobel, visited directly the Didingga Village, one of the villages affected by flash floods in the Biau District of North Gorontalo, Gorontalo Province.
"My presence here, especially I want to see firsthand the impact of the flood disaster experienced by the people of Biau District, including in Didingga Village, especially in the Remote Indigenous Community (KAT) settlement," said Rachmat in Gorontalo, Saturday.
He admitted that he wanted to see and feel firsthand the difficulties faced by the community.

The visit was also attended by the Biau District Government, as well as the Didingga, Bualo Village Governments and other affected villages, even the former Deputy Regent of North Gorontalo RoniImranturut attended to visit the flood-affected community.
Regional Secretary Suleman Lakoro said the local government welcomed the visit.

Flash floods submerged five villages in Biau District on Tuesday (26/5) at 15.00 WITA, with water levels reaching the windows of houses and flowing fast, namely Luhuto, Bualo, Biau, Omuto and Didingga villages.
