Depok Mayor Issues Circular On Distribution Of Sacrificial Meat Without Plastic

In the context of implementing Eid al-Adha 1445 Hijriah, Depok Mayor Mohammad Idris issued a circular (SE) without plastic for the distribution of sacrificial animal meat so as not to cause environmental pollution.

"We issued a circular regarding the implementation of Eid al-Adha without plastic. This was done to increase the emergence of plastic waste and environmental pollution," he said in Depok, reported by ANTARA, Saturday, June 15.

He suggested distributing sacrificial meat using containers made other than plastic so that it is easy to manage the waste.

"In order to maintain and anticipate the surge in the number of plastic waste generation. Of course, waste management is to reduce waste accumulation to Cipayung TPA," he said.
