TP3's Efforts In The Case Of The Shooting Of The FPI Army: Compose And Meet Jokowi, And Push Him To The Human Rights Court

JAKARTA - The Murder Incident Guard Team (TP3) continues to work in various ways so that the case of the death of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) troops on the Jakarta Cikampek KM 50 toll road is brought to the Human Rights Court (HAM).

TP3 initiator, Marwan Batubara said that one of the methods was done by writing to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

"So we are also reminding Pak Jokowi to pay attention to (the case of the death of the FPI laskar)," Marwan said at the FPI Laskar 6 Family Muabalah event, Wednesday, March 3.

However, Jokowi's response was deemed not in line with expectations. However, Marwan said he did not have a problem with this.

TP3, continued Marwan, will continue to take advocacy steps related to this issue. Until later, the case can be resolved properly.

"We will continue to carry out continuous advocacy in case Pak Jokowi changes his attitude halfway through," he said.

"But even if not, the name is advocacy as long as there is life borne by the body. I think we will continue to do that and indeed we will continue to do it," he continued.

Several days later, seven TP3 members visited President Joko Widodo at the State Palace. They arrived at around 10.00 WIB.

His meeting with Jokowi, who was accompanied by Menkopolhukam Mahfud MD and State Secretary Pratikno, only lasted about 15 minutes.

Mahfud MD also said that the atmosphere of the meeting was quite serious in a short time. In essence, Amien Rais who represented TP3 asked Jokowi to hold a human rights court regarding the shooting of six FPI troops.

The reason is that they believe that there have been killings which were committed by gross human rights violations, not ordinary human rights violations.

"Earlier they stated that they believed that six FPI soldiers had been killed and they asked that this be brought to a human rights court for gross human rights violations. That was conveyed to the president," Mahfud said, Tuesday, March 9.

Then, Amien Rais and friends reminded Jokowi that there must be law enforcement in accordance with the provisions of the law and in accordance with God's orders, related to the deaths of six FPI troops.

"God's orders are that the law is fair. Second, there is a threat from God, if people kill believers without rights, then the threat is hell," said Mahfud, imitating TP3's words.

Five days later, TP3 announced the results of the meeting with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). At least two main points were conveyed to Jokowi.

The head of TP3's six army units of FPI Abdullah Hehamahua said that his party asked the government to bring the tragedy of 7 December 2020 to a human rights court instead of an ordinary court.

TP3 encouraged the case to be investigated by the International Criminal Court (ICC). This is because the deaths of six FPI troops were categorized as gross human rights violations.

The next point in the meeting with Jokowi was asking for transparency in the disclosure of the tragedy that killed six FPI troops.

Abdullah admitted that Jokowi had shown a good response to the request. He said the Head of State promised to ensure that the cases of the deaths of the 6 FPI troops were handled properly.

"The President answered two points. It means that the government will implement it openly, fairly, and if it is TP3, please convey it," he said.

Abdullah said, TP3 until now still thinks that the 7 December 2020 tragedy contains elements of gross human rights violations. In fact, Abdullah claimed that he was compiling evidence that strengthened this assumption.

"God willing, we have the data there and now we are compiling it in the form of a 2-volume white book. Because it is thick we made 2 volumes. The first volume is a summary and volume 2 is data," he said.

For information, six members of the FPI Laskar members were shot dead by the police. They were given strict action for attacking police officers.

The police's firm action began with a police investigation regarding the schedule for examining Rizieq Shihab. This is because the police received information that there would be a mass mobilization.

However, during the investigation process by following Rizieq's movement, members of the Polda Metro Jaya were actually attacked. According to the police, the attack took place on the Jakarta-Cikampek KM 50 toll road.

Then, about 10 of the special laskar attacked the member's car using firearms (senpi) and sharp weapons (sajam). Until finally the police returned the shots.

As a result, six people died at the location. Meanwhile, the other four troops fled.
