The Head of Propam Bali Police, Kombes Ketut Agus Kusmayadi, emphasized that he would take firm action against police personnel or members who were proven to be involved in online gambling.

Kombes Agus explained that there has been a lot of evidence of the negative impact of online gambling addiction. President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) also intervened to remind everyone not to gamble and not to gamble online.

"Including our leadership, the National Police Chief and the Bali Police Chief really want us all to avoid negative things, one of which is online gambling, so that we can carry out our duties and serve the community well," said Kombes Agus, during a Satker meeting at the Bali Police, Friday, June 14.

"We emphasize to all Bali Police personnel, along with their ranks that no one is addicted to gambling or online gambling, whatever it takes which can cause problems, both personal, family and duty," he added.

He also said that there was no evidence of a rich person because of gambling but on the contrary, destruction due to gambling is certain, such as harming the country's family economy and economy and can trigger a number of psychological vulnerabilities.

Like easy depression, anxiety, antisocial, easily bored, doing everything without consideration and having unstable emotions that sacrifice family happiness and are determined to commit violations of the law to quickly earn money just to gamble and many other negative impacts.

"How can we make the family happy, how can we serve the community well, if we are addicted to gambling or online gambling in any form. Based on this, we, the ranks of the Bidpropam Polda Bali, remind and emphasize that no personnel are involved in online gambling in any form and if someone has done it immediately stop it," he said.

"At any time we will carry out inspections and check on cellphones, laptops or computers in their respective satker workspaces. If it is proven that there is an application or whatever form of online gambling, the Bali Police Propam will take firm action against these individuals," he continued.

He also asked police personnel in Bali to carry out their duties properly and avoid online gambling and other negative things.

"Let us carry out our duties well, remind each other to avoid being addicted to online gambling and other negative things. As police officers, be examples and role models for the community and their respective environments," he said.
