Unlobbied, Bambang Pacul Says Ahmad Luthfi Hasn't Been Eyed By PDIP To Advance In Central Java's Pilkada

JAKARTA - The chairman of the Bappilu PDIP DPP, Bambang Wuryanto or Bambang Pacul responded to the Central Java Police Chief, Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi, who will run in the 2024 Central Java Pilkada. Bambang revealed that no name has yet been final because the holiday process is still being carried out. "In Central Java, the lobby is still being processed, so it's not fixed yet. Which one is fixed. It doesn't exist yet," said Bambang at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, June 13. However, Pacul emphasized that his party will consider the names that register as candidates for governor of the PDIP. So far, said Pacul, there has been no lobbying from Luthfi. "We were the first to consider those who registered internally. After that, of course, from the lobbying that occurred. As for the gubernatorial election, there is no other lobby except from the internal one," he said. Pacul also admitted that he had not heard that Luthfi was interested in advancing for the Central Java cagub from PDIP. He said his party would prioritize people interested in being promoted by PDIP. "Not prioritizing the number one, those interested in the PDI struggle," he said. When asked about President Jokowi's endorsed Luthfi, Bambang mentioned that winning and losing were common in the Pilkada.

"So if people enter the ring of the match, there are only two possibilities to win or lose. That's all, right, there is a third possibility even though it's small, but in the Pilkada there will be no draw later if the draw can be PSU or something if they lose and win it in every normal match," he said.
