JAKARTA - Anies Baswedan stated that he would accept the support of the Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of the DKI Jakarta National Awakening Party (PKB) to be promoted as a candidate for Governor of DKI Jakarta. This was conveyed by Anies when he visited the DKI Jakarta PKB DPW office. Previously, Anies had not clearly expressed his willingness to run again in the second period of the DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election. "I respectfully appreciate the trust given to us for the next 5 years for Jakarta. This mandate is a big mandate, but God willing, it will not be difficult and this journey must be passed together," said Anies at the DPW PKB office. DKI Jakarta, East Jakarta, Thursday, June 13. Anies admitted that during his tenure as Governor of DKI Jakarta for the 2017-2022 period, PKB was one of the parties that supported his achievements. Anies felt that he was getting closer to PKB when he was a presidential candidate paired with PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar in the 2024 presidential election. The former governor of DKI Jakarta hopes that other parties will join the PKB in forming a coalition to carry it in the 2024 DKI Pilkada. "We will give it to Mr. Anies Baswedan to work downstairs, go down to the community to socialize that he is nominating the governor from PKB," Hasbi said, Wednesday, June 12. Hasbi believes that the general chairman, Muhaimin Iskandar, is one of the ranks of the PKB Central Leadership Council (DPP) to approve the proposal.

"God willing, PKB, from the DPP to solid branches. God willing, our party, which strongly upholds democracy and dpp, always follows the aspirations of the bottom. Hasbi also emphasized that the decision to support Anies will not change until the registration period for the candidate pair for governor and deputy governor to the General Elections Commission (KPU).
