KAI Employee Arrested By Cianjur Police For Drugs Is A Power Transfer

BANDUNG - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Operational Area (Daop) 2 Bandung said that the employee who was arrested and detained by the Cianjur Police on June 11, 2024, related to methamphetamine, was an employee of the KAI power transfer. "To launch the investigation process, KAI asked the vendors to replace the personnel suspected of being involved in the distribution of the methamphetamine to be replaced with other personnel," said Ayep. KAI, he added, is committed to playing an active role and supporting the government's efforts to prevent drug abuse. This was realized by the signing of the MoU between KAI and the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in the context of Prevention and Eradication of the Abuse and Circulation of Narcotics Darks and Narcotics Precursors at the Jakarta Railway Center (JRC) Building, Central Jakarta on August 3, 2016. "We just found out that the suspect, an employee of PT KAI, after searching his bag, found a jacket that reads JJ Daop 2 Bandung, the results of the investigation by the perpetrator officers wanted to resell the illicit goods to a number of users in Cianjur," he added. He explained that currently the suspect is still undergoing investigation at the Cianjur Police Narcotics Unit, for development and arresting a large dealer who supplies methamphetamine to the suspect, where his party has pocketed his identity.
