Alexander Marwata Supports Deputy At KPK To Advance To Be Capim, No Except Pahala Nainggolan

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Alexander Marwata supports internal parties who want to run for leadership for the next period. The deputies and directors are welcome to register with the Selection Committee (Pansel) Capim and the KPK Council.

"Anyway, all deputies at the KPK, please come forward if they want to," said Alexander, Wednesday, June 12.

Alexander also gave the same support when asked about the name of the Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring of the KPK Pahala Nainggolan. He said he invited his colleague to come forward.

"If I push it, I'll knock it. But right, the person concerned will come back again," he said with a smile.

"I just say go ahead, deputies, directors may also be important, right? The conditions are at least 50 (years, ed) right. The director is welcome if you want to go forward, wes, go forward. The principle is like that if the leadership encourages everything," continued Alexander.

While on a separate occasion some time ago, Pahala admitted that he did not want to register as a candidate for leadership. "I didn't sign up (registered, ed)," he told reporters, Monday, June 10.

However, Pahala supports that the Capim Pansel and the KPK Council pick up the ball when they see the right person. "There are so many good people outside who have finished from the private sector (age, ed) 55-56 (years, ed) who really want (forward, ed)," he said.

"But when I saw the process, 400 people tested (later, red) then 100, didn't pass," continued Pahala.

As previously reported, the Chairperson of the Selection Committee (Pansel) for Candidates for Leadership (Kapim) and the KPK Council Yusuf Ateh invited the anti-corruption commission to submit a name from the internal as a candidate. He and his team have asked for information in a closed audience today, Wednesday, June 12.

"Earlier, we also asked for information about it from the leadership," Yusuf told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

Yusuf said the KPK leadership would convey to the Pansel Capim and the KPK Council. Those who attended the closed activities were the Temporary Chairperson of the KPK Nawawi Pomolango; Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Alexander Marwata, Nurul Ghufron, and Johanis Tanak; and the Secretary General of the KPK Cahya H. Harefa.

"Later, the leadership will provide information that may be registered internally. Maybe later, they will be asked to Mr. Alex," he concluded.
