BOGOR - Bogor City DPRD together with the Bogor City Government approved the Draft Regional Regulation (Raperda) concerning Amendments to Regional Regulation (Perda) number 6 of 2002 concerning Funeral to become a Regional Regulation on the Implementation of Funerals. The chairman of the Special Committee Team, Gilang Gugum Gumelar, said in a plenary meeting that based on the results of the facilitation of the Regional Office of Law and Human Rights of West Java Province and in a joint agreement with the Special Committee of the Bogor City DPRD in a working meeting, the Regional Regulation number 6 of 2002 concerning Funerals was replaced with a new Raperda, namely the Bogor City Raperda on the Implementation of Funerals.

This Raperda is prepared with the consideration that the Regional Government is obliged to guarantee the protection of progress, enforcement and fulfillment of human rights, including the right of everyone to be buried properly and also in line with the increasing population and growth of the residential environment.

"For Regional Regulation Number 6 of 2002 concerning Funerals, we ask to be revoked after the Bogor City Raperda regarding the Implementation of Funerals is ratified as a Regional Regulation.
