JAKARTA - The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Media Observatory for Israeli Crimes against Palestine noted in a report a consistent pattern of systematic killings of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, especially in February, March, April, and May 2024, at a rate of around two thousand killings per month.

The OIC Observatory documented in a report covering the period between June 4 and 10, 2024, the killing of 3,163 Palestinians in February, in addition to 2,790 in March, 1,788 in April, and 1,780 in May.

"This reflects a consistent aim to increase pressure on the Palestinian people, in addition to withholding as much humanitarian aid as possible and targeting the health sector," the report said, reported by WAFA on June 11.

The OIC Observatory noted that the killings peaked in October with 8,635 people killed, followed by 6,619 people killed in November, while the number killed in December reached 7,021 people and 5,031 people in January, all of whom were killed during the Israeli military operations that adopted a scorched earth policy in preparation for the entry of ground forces in the first four months of the Israeli aggression.

On the other hand, the OIC Observatory observed Israeli crimes in the Gaza Strip from June 4 to 9, 2024, where it recorded 605 killings and 1,765 people injured.

The largest number of victims occurred in the attack on the Nuseirat Camp last weekend, where 283 people were killed and 816 injured, amid massive destruction due to air, sea and land bombardments in the Camp.

Meanwhile, health authorities in Gaza announced on Monday that the death toll of Palestinians since the war broke out on October 7, 2023 has reached 37,124, while 84,712 others were injured.
