NTB Provincial Government Investigates ASN IKut's Declaration Of Zulkieflimansyah-Abah Uhel

The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) will investigate the alleged involvement of the state civil apparatus (ASN) in the declaration activity of one of the prospective pairs of candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor Zulkieflimansyah and Suhaili FT (Bang Zul-Abah Uhel) which was held, on Saturday (8/6).

"Yes, we will investigate who the ASN is," said Acting Governor of NTB, Lalu Gita Ariadi after the plenary meeting of the NTB DPRD, in Mataram as reported by ANTARA, Monday, June 10.

He said his party had not yet received a report regarding ASN personnel suspected of being present at the campaign activities. However, he promised to immediately identify this.

"Who is the person, later we will ask for the names first," he said.

According to Gita, his party has not been able to immediately impose sanctions on ASN who are suspected of participating in the declaration, without knowing the identity or evidence of involvement when attending the declaration, even though they are currently not in the campaign stage of the regional head candidate pair.

"How do we want sanctions without data, supporting evidence and so on, we have not received them. If someone gives it to us immediately, but we will see what the urgency is," he said.

However, according to Miq Gite, as he is familiarly called, there are institutions such as Bawaslu that follow up if there are allegations of involvement of ASN in practical politics.

"If there are Bawaslu findings, we will encourage them, meaning that Bawaslu has worked according to its main duties and functions," he said.

Previously, former NTB Governor Zulkieflimansyah and former Central Lombok Regent Suhaili FT officially declared a pair to run in the NTB Governor and Deputy Governor Election which will be held on November 27, 2024.

The declaration of the pair called Bang Zul-Abah Uhel was attended by volunteers and sympathizers held in Praya City, Central Lombok Regency, Saturday (8/6) evening. The campaign activity is thought to have also been attended by a number of ASN personnel within the local provincial government.

The pair's declaration is the second declaration after the couple of former Deputy Governor of NTB Sitti Rohmi Djalilah and the Regent of West Sumbawa Regency (KSB) Musyafirin.
