NTB - Mataram City Government (Pemkot) in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province normalizes water disposal channels in the Udayana Teras Tourism area.

Mataram Mayor Mohan Roliskana said this step was an anticipation so as not to cause flooding when heavy rains occurred.

The Head of the Mataram City Tourism Office (Dispar) Cahya Samudra also conveyed the same thing. He said the puddles that appeared were caused by clogged garbage channels.

"In the concept, Teras Udayaan has 20 hole points, but there are several points where the hole is closed and covered with garbage," he said.

He said the inundation in Teras Udayana was the first time after it was completed at the end of 2023, with this condition Dispar will carry out more routine maintenance.

Thus, it is certain that the inundation in Teras Udayana will not happen again, because the channels will be cleaned.

"Don't let the drains get blocked again by garbage," he said.

To anticipate, visitors and street vendors (PKL) who sell in the area are to maintain environmental cleanliness.

"We have prepared a lot of trash bins, so let's grow awareness to protect the environment," he said
