Rodeo Bull In Oregon Jumps Fence, 3 Spectators Injured

JAKARTA - A bull jumped over the fence that surrounds the Oregon arena, United States (US) and ran towards the parking lot. Three spectators were injured.

The bull jumped in the middle of full spectator seats Sisters Rodeo, Saturday night 8 June. Most of the audience turned on their cellphone flashlights as the bull ran around the arena before the bull jumped over the fence.

The Bull ran through the concession area, dropping trash cans and making people scattered. The bull lifted one person from the ground, turned it from tip to tip, and reflected it from its horn before the person hit the ground.

Rodeo farm professionals secured the bull next to the farm and placed it in a cage, the association said.

Sheriff's Office Sergeant Deschutes County Joshua Spano said several ambulances were heading to the scene.

The Rural Fire Protection District of Cloverdale told CBS News that all injured people had been discharged from the hospital.

Sisters spokesman Rodeo Brian Witt told KOIN, "We can open the right gate so the bull can get out of the audience area and then be detained immediately after that."

"We prevent everything we can, but we can't prevent a very athletic bull from jumping over a six-foot-high fence," Witt said. "Very rare. It rarely happens. But it does."

The Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association says Saturday's incident is a reminder "alless it's a very entertaining sport, on very rare occasions it can also pose a number of risks."

"PRCA conveys our condolences and hopes to those who are injured or affected by this frightening and very rare incident," the association said.
