Kaesang Regarding 'Success' Forward Jakarta Gubernatorial Election: Patience, Long Registration

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep said his assignment to run in the 2024 DKI Jakarta Regional Head Election will be decided in August

"I have told you, wait for the surprise later in August," said Kaesang at the PSI office, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, June 7.

Kaesang said there would be a surprise about whether or not he would advance in the Jakarta 2024 Pilkada.

President Jokowi's youngest son also asked all parties to be patient because the registration of the prospective pair for governor and deputy governor through the path of political parties will start on August 27 to 29, 2024.

"The registration is still long, it's still August, at the end of August, right. Be patient," he said.

Previously reported, the Daily Chairperson of the Gerindra Party DPP Sufmi Dasco Ahmad through his personal Instagram social media account @sufmi_dasco uploaded a photo of Budisatrio Djiwandono side by side with Kaesang Pangarep with the writing of a candidate for governor of DKI Jakarta and a candidate for governor of DKI Jakarta "For Jakarta 2024".

In addition to juxtaposing Budisatrio with Kaesang, Dasco also had time to upload a photo of Budisatrio with celebrity Raffi Ahmad as in the photo format of the candidate pair participating in the regional elections or elections on his personal Instagram. But Budisatrio recently stated that he would not run for the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

Meanwhile, Secretary General of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani stated that the figures of cadres prepared for the Jakarta Pilkada are still in the brewing. The Gerindra Party has several young cadres, including Budisatrio Djiwandono and Moreno Soeprapto.

"We have a master, we prioritize fresh and young figure," he said.
