AGO Shoots Falling Illegal Flying Drones At Jampidsus Building

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Internal Security Team (Kamdal) shot down a drone or drone flying wildly around the ceremonial field area and near the construction of the Jampidsus Round Building construction.

Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office, Ketut Sumedana, in Jakarta, Thursday, said the drone was confirmed to belong to the pilot drone community which is controlled from the area around the Blok M Literacy Park or a precision in front of the Attorney General's Main building.

"So it is not true that thedorne is passing to spy and be controlled by any party or agency with an interest," said Ketut as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, June 6.

According to Ketut, drone crossing the area of the Attorney General's Office has often occurred. The Attorney General's Office does not have the authority to prohibit drones flying in the area of the Attorney General's building. Because there is already an authority that regulates air traffic.

However, he continued, if the drone is considered dangerous, the AGO's Kamdal Team already has the tools to bring down the drone.

"There is a tool. If for example it is dangerous, we will go down with tools. We shoot him (drone). Then check whether the drone is dangerous or what," he said.

If the flying drone is indicated to be dangerous, said Ketut, his party will report it to the police and conduct a search.

The shooting of a drone flying illegally in the AGO area occurred Wednesday (5/6) night. The results of the drone search belonged to the community. So that it is not related to the intervention efforts of one of the cases being handled by the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus).

"This (drone) incident is fact or true, and this is not the first time this has happened," said Ketut.
