H5N2 Type Bird Flu Kills Humans For The First Time, Symptoms Of Fever, Shortness Of Breath And Diarrhea

JAKARTA - The World Health Organization or WHO announced human death for the first time due to an unprecedented type of bird flu. This H5N2-type bird flu was confirmed in a 59-year-old man in Mexico City, Mexico. "This is a case of subtype A (H5N2) bird flu infection in human beings who are laboratoryly confirmed and reported globally,” WHO said in a report, quoted from Metro.co.uk, Thursday 6 June. The victim is known to have been lying in bed for three weeks before the onset of a bird flu symptom. After having a fever, shortness of breath and prolonged diarrhea, the victim was taken to hospital on April 17. The victim died one week later.

H5N2 is one of several types of bird flu viruses that kill so that it raises concerns among health officials and poultry entrepreneurs.
