Lamborghini To McLaren And Rolex Watch Confiscated By KPK Regarding Money Laundering Of Former Kukar Regent

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated 91 motorized vehicles in the form of cars or motorbikes related to allegations of gratification and money laundering (TPPU) of the former Kutai Kertanegara Regent, East Kalimantan, Rita Widyasari.

Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said the confiscated vehicles were from various brands, including Lamborghini to McLaren. However, he did not specify the exact time the confiscation was carried out.

In addition, investigators also confiscated 30 luxury watches from various brands such as Rolex, Richard Mille and Hublot. Then there are also documents and five plots of land with an area of thousands of square meters that were also confiscated, said Ali.

Ali closed the confiscation information meeting where it was carried out. He was reluctant to answer the news that the goods were confiscated from the house of the PSSI National Team Manager and Rita's sister-in-law, Endri Erawan.

He chose to explain that this confiscated item was related to the development of the case that ensnared Rita. "Regarding whose house or place it is, I think it's technical," he said.

"Because the witnesses who were ransacked by his house will of course later be confirmed by the KPK investigating team to test the truth and confirm the evidence that was confiscated," continued the spokesman with the prosecutor's background.

Ali said his agency would optimize the confiscation to recover losses due to Rita's corrupt practices. "In the trial process, the KPK prosecutor will ask him to ask the panel of judges to carry out the confiscation and then hand it over to the state a number of assets that are quite large," he explained.

As previously reported, Rita Widyasari, who is the former Regent of Kutai Kertanegara, was named a suspect along with Commissioner of PT Media Bangun Bersama, Khairudin on January 16, 2018. Both are suspected of washing money from the results of project gratuities and licensing at the Kutai Kertanegara Provincial Government worth Rp436 billion.

Rita is currently a resident of Pondok Bambu Women's Prison, East Jakarta. He had to serve a sentence of 10 years in prison which was handed down by the Jakarta Corruption Court on July 6, 2018.

In this case he was proven to have received gratuities of Rp110.7 billion and bribes of up to Rp6 billion from permit applicants and project partners.
