Pertamina Holds Market Operations And Adds Stock Of Subsidized LPG In Bali

DENPASAR - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga together with the local government in Bali held a three-kilogram LPG subsidy market operation, as well as increasing its stock at the official base due to high demand in the last few weeks.

"The addition of the distribution of three kilograms of LPG subsidies is an effort to stabilize the needs of the community," said Area Manager Communications, Relations and CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Region of East Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara Sunday Rahedi in Denpasar, Bali, Wednesday, June 5.

The total stock added reached 411,040 green LPG cylinders and 264,880 tubes will still be added.

He explained that for the implementation of the next distribution, his party together with the local government continued to coordinate in taking strategic steps to meet the energy needs of the community.

Previously, his party together with district/city governments in Bali distributed directly to underprivileged communities or market operations on May 9 and 23, and June 1, 2024 for household consumption and micro-enterprises.

"To buy LPG for this activity, the public is still required to include the population identification number (NIK) listed on the KTP or KK," added Sunday.

The selling price of the three kilogram subsidy LPG in the market operation reached Rp. 18 thousand per tube according to the highest retail price (HET) set by the Governor of Bali.

He added that market operations were held in response to the high consumption of three kilograms of LPG, especially in tourist areas in Bali during the long holiday at the end of May and the increase in tourist visits ahead of the holiday season in June 2024.

His party noted that the overall need for LPG for the Bali region was supplied from 16 bulkkelpiji filling and transportation stations (SPPBE) through government assignments (PSO) and four non-PSO SPPBEs.

The LPG was then distributed through 112 LPG PSO agents and 22 LPGnon-PSO agents to 3,716 bases spread throughout the city/district of the province of Bali with an average daily delivery to each base of 20 to 100 tubes.

Sunday said that according to the Regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 26 of 2009 concerning the Provision and Distribution of LPG, his party carried out supervisory functions ranging from SPPBE, agents, to bases.

"This means that the final point of distribution is at the base, not at retailers or stalls," he said.

The three kilogram LPG, he continued, is subsidized goods with a quota set by the government and its allocation for people with underprivileged/poor economies that can be purchased at the base according to the HET amounting to Rp. 18 thousand.

He invited people classified as economic groups to be able not to use three kilograms of subsidized LPG and switch to using non-subsidized products.

"If people have difficulty getting three kilograms of LPG in the area around where they live, they can also contact the center number 135," he said.
