BOGOR - Food poisoning victims in RT 1 RW 12 Cipaku Village, South Bogor District continue to grow. As of Tuesday, the Bogor City Health Office noted that 93 residents were victims of poisoning and the city government designated the incident as an extraordinary incident (KLB).

The Regional Secretary of Bogor City, Syarifah Sofiah said that based on the results of her monitoring at the Cipaku Health Center and a number of hospitals, there were an increase in the number of victims of poisoning, namely 22 people from the initial data on Monday, June 3, which amounted to 71 people.

"We saw that there was additional patient information at Juliana Hospital. Earlier we also saw here (Cipaku Health Center) there were also new patients. Then there were also 4 people who we referred to Ummi Hospital. So there were 9 people who were still being treated at the hospital, at the Puskesmas. 19 people were then referred to 4 people. So here (Puskesmas) 15 people," he explained.

Syarifah explained that the poisoned patients who were referred to the hospital were in a state of severe dehydration. This is done to prevent the patient's condition from getting worse.

Because according to him, one patient died in this case due to comorbidities suffered by the victim. Meanwhile, patients who can still be served by the Puskesmas will still be treated at the Puskesmas.

Syarifah said that the Cipaku Health Center was the first place for residents to be critical and needed treatment. If you experience worsening, the patient will be referred to the hospital.

He stated that the patient's data could still change and increase. Because the number of victims cannot be ascertained from the amount of food packages distributed.

Based on the data he got, the host provided 85 boxes of food and a number of rantang which also contained food. The food was then eaten together by residents and their families.

"The temporary assumption is that the cause is the Balayo egg menu. Because he said the spices are getting stale, it feels sour. But to make sure medically we are still waiting for the lab results from the feces and vomit that are examined at BBLK Jakarta. We are still waiting for the results, what bacteria are there. It is estimated that in 2 days, we will follow up later," explained Syarifah.

He said most of the victims of poisoning were dominated by adults aged 20-44 years. There are also children who are victims, namely 5 people. Two of them are being treated at the hospital while the other 3 are at the Cipaku Health Center.

As a result of this incident, the Bogor City Government finally established the status of an Extraordinary Incident (KLB). Syarifah said this case would be handled by KLB.

"So if the KLB must be intensive and fast. Ambulances should not be difficult, officers must be available, beds must be available, medicines must be available. So it is not handled on the scale of the Puskesmas anymore but on the scale of the city," he explained.
