KPK Reminds Parents And Student Guardian Not To Give Money During PPDB Process

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) issued Circular Letter (SE) Number 7 of 2024 concerning Prevention of Corruption and Control of Gratification in the implementation of new student admissions (PPDB). One of the points is asking parents and guardians of students not to give money in the process.

This was conveyed by the Spokesperson for Prevention Ipi Maryati in response to the rampant fraudulent practices in the PPDB process. Among them are giving bribes and gratuities to extorting.

"Through this SE, the KPK also invites the wider community, whether as parents or guardians of students, not to practice gratification that interferes with the PPDB implementation process," said Ipi in a written statement quoted on Tuesday, June 4.

Ipi said that if the gift was given before the PPDB process was carried out, the parents or guardians of students had made bribes.
