SYL To Former KPK Spokesperson Febri Diansyah: Move, Can't Get Closer

JAKARTA - Former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL met Febri Diansyah who is a former legal adviser as well as a former spokesman for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The meeting took place in the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court.

The meeting began when SYL entered the courtroom. At that time, Febri Diansyah had already been there.

SYL did not immediately see Febri's figure. Because, he first greeted several relatives or those who supported him.

Then, SYL and Febri met. They shook hands and smiled at each other. In fact, the former Minister of Agriculture joked the KPK spokesman by asking him to change seats.

Febri is known to sit in the front seat that SYL often occupies while waiting for the trial to begin.

"I used to sit here, my father shifted there. I couldn't get close, he said," SYL told Febri with a laugh.

Responding to this, Febri also said that he would immediately change seats. "Oh yes sir, I shifted there means sir," he said.

Febri Diansyah was presented as a witness in the trial of the alleged extortion and acceptance of gratuities with the defendants SYL, Kasdi Subagyono and Muhammad Hatta, today.

Apart from Febri, the prosecutor will also summon other witnesses. They are Dhirgaraya S. Santo who is the General Manager of Radio Prambors Media or PT Bayureksa and the Head of the Agricultural Human Resources Counseling and Development Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture Dedi Nursyams.

Then he will be presented as a witness as well as Sugiyatno who is the Karugma Rumdin Minister of Agriculture; and TU staff of the Ministry of Agriculture's Agricultural Equipment and Machinery Directorate Yusgie Sevyahasana. They will later be asked for information before the judge to prove the charges against Syahrul.
