SAR Team Finds Again Three Crew Members Of The KM Bintan Jaya 10 Ship, Safe Condition

The joint SAR team managed to evacuate three crew members (ABK) KM Bintan Jaya 10, who had been reported missing. The three crew members were found safe.

It was later discovered that two crew members named Benu (40), Apit (23) and were found by a Lampung fishing boat that happened to pass through the waters of Karang Suji, Java Sea while heading to Sadai Harbor. Both were found floating states on the surface of the water.

Furthermore, a crew named Aan (30) was found floating by a fishing boat from Lampung while they were on their way to Sadai Port.

Furthermore, the three crew members were evacuated by a joint SAR team from inside the Lampung fishing boat.

"The three victims along with one of their colleagues who were previously safely taken by RIB Basarnas Ship to Sadai Port to be delivered to the owner of the KM Bintan Jaya 10 ship," said Head of Pangkalpinang Kansar, I Made Oka Astawa when confirmed, Sunday, June 2.

After the three crew members were found missing, the joint SAR operation was officially closed. Meanwhile, SAR personnel returned to their respective units.

"All the crew members were found safe," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the KM Bintan Jaya 10 ship had an accident due to a large wave impact and sank in the waters of Karang Suji in the waters of the Java Sea, South Bangka Regency, last May 31.

The incident occurred when a ship with 4 crew members (ABK) was looking for fish from Mentok Fishing Port to the Java Sea waters fishing ground in Karang Suji. The ship was hit by large waves while in the fishing ground area of Karang Suji waters, South Bangka.
