Denpasar Bawaslu Asks Village Supervisors To Hold Integrity In The 2024 Pilkada

JAKARTA Ahead of the simultaneous 2024 Regional Head Elections (Pilkada), the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Denpasar City, Bali, has asked the Village/Village Supervisory Committee (PKD) in the newly appointed local city to fully hold integrity and professionalism in carrying out surveillance tasks.

"The election of regional heads (pilkada) is a very important moment for our democracy to choose a leader who will represent and serve the interests of the community," said Denpasar City Bawaslu Chairman I Putu Hardy Sarjana, Saturday night, June 1.

Therefore, according to him, the role of 43 Village/Village Panwas in Denpasar City, which today was inaugurated, is considered very crucial. In addition, it has a big responsibility in ensuring smoothness, honesty, and justice in every stage of regional head election.

"This responsibility is not light, but together, I'm sure we can carry out that task well," said Hardy.

Through the inauguration, Bawaslu Denpasar hopes that all Village/Village Panwas (PKD) can carry out their mandate with integrity, professionalism and unconditionalness.

"Let's make integrity the main guideline in carrying out our duties because integrity is the main foundation of public trust," said Hardy.

Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Hardy juga mengajak PKD untuk selalu meningkatkan kapasitas dan pengetahuan dalam menjalankan tugas pengawasan.

Education and training will be carried out to ensure supervisors can face every challenge wisely and responsively.

"Let us all maintain the spirit and togetherness and collaboration in carrying out our supervisory tasks. We are part of a team that has the same goal, namely realizing a clean, honest and fair regional head election," he said.

With the hard work, seriousness and dedication of all, his party believes that the supervisors in the 2024 Pilkada can carry out their duties properly and make a meaningful contribution to the progress of democracy in Denpasar City.
