YOGYAKARTA The figure of Tommy Djiwandono or Thomas M Djiwandono has recently been discussed. His name is included in the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka Synchronization Task Force Team.

The Prabowo-Gibran Synchronization Group Team is a team formed by President-elect Prabowo Subianto to synchronize with a number of relevant government institutions.

In the team, Tommy Djiwandono was introduced as a member of the task force in charge of economics and finance.

"We introduce that the Synchronization Task Force Team is chaired by Professor Doctor Haji Sufmi Dasco Ahmad. I act as deputy chairman and Mr. Tommy Djiwandono as a member in charge of economics and finance," said Secretary General of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani at the Office of the Ministry of Finance, Central Jakarta, Friday, May 31, 2024, quoted by VOI.

Not only Ahmad Muzani, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati also introduced Tommy Djiwandono after holding a meeting with the Prabowo-Gibran Synchronization Group Team. The meeting discussed the budget, including the 2025 RAPBN. The cancellation was often with a transition period from the Jokowi administration to Prabowo.

"That's Pak Tommy Djiwandono's name. Maybe someone already knows him," said Sri Mulyani.

Quoted from the official Gerindra website, Tommy Djiwandono is the first child of the Soedradjad Djiwandono and Biantiningsih Miderawati couple. He was born in Jakarta on May 7, 1972.

Tommy is the nephew of the elected President and General Chair of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto.

Tommy's father, Soedrajad Djiwandono, once served as Governor of Bank Indonesia. while his mother, Bianti, was Prabowo Subianto's older brother.

Thus, Tommy is the founder of Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), RM Margono Djojohadikusumo, and the grandson of the former Minister of Finance, Soemitro Dijohadikoesoemo.

Tommy has a very classy career. At the beginning of his career, he worked as a journalist. This profession he lived in 1993. A year later, Tommy worked at Indonesia Business Weekly.

Furthermore, Tommy became a financial analyst at Whetlock NatWest Securities, Hong Kong. In 2006, Tommy was asked by his uncle, Hasin Djojohadikusumo to become Deputy CEO of Arsari Group, a company engaged in agribusiness.

While his career in politics, Tommy was involved in the Gerindra Party. He was once a legislative candidate in West Kalimantan Province.

In the 2024 presidential election, Tommy Djiwandono is included in the Red-White Coalition (KMP) which carries the Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa pair. His role is very important for KMP for logistics needs. Tommy is very serious and always records party financial activities very neatly.

In the Gerindra Party management, Tommy was appointed as the general treasurer in the 2014-2019 period. Then, in the 2024 presidential election Tommy occupied the position of General Treasurer of the National Campaign Team (TKN) Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
