A Duet Poster Appears With Prabowo's Nephew, Kaesang Has Not Determined His Attitude In The DKI Gubernatorial Election

JAKARTA - The name of PSI Chairman Kaesang Pangarep was duet with the Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of the Gerindra Party Budisatrio Djiwandono as a candidate pair for Governor-deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta.

However, it turns out that until now the youngest son of President Joko Widodo has not yet determined his willingness to become a cawagub paired with Prabowo Subianto's nephew. The decision of Kaesang is still awaited by his staff at PSI.

"PSI is still waiting for an attitude, Mas Kaesang Pangarep's decision regarding this matter," PSI Deputy Chairman Andy Budiman said in his statement, Friday, May 31.

Kaesang, continued Andi, is currently still busy taking care of regional election preparations in various regions and meeting with candidates for governor, regent, and mayor who want to register with PSI.

On the one hand, PSI is also still waiting for the agreement and direction of more senior parties in the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka coalition in the 2024 presidential election.

Andy also taught the profiteering of Kaesang's name to be the deputy governor of Jakarta by the Gerindra Party, as well as a suggestion from grassroots to carry Kaesang in the buffer zone. He considers this to be the aspiration of the community so that young leaders can participate in fighting in regional political contestation.

"PSI is certainly happy and proud that the name Mas Kaesang Pangarep, our chairman, is circulating in the community who wants Mas Kaesang to become a regional head, such as in Depok, Bekasi, Surabaya, and finally in DKI Jakarta," he said.
