Central Java's PDIP noted that two people had registered themselves as candidates for the Governor of Central Java who would run in the 2024 Pilkada.

Member of the Committee for Recipients of Penjaringan Registration Files for Candidates for Governor-Deputy Governor of Central Java, Joko Purnomo, said that until the deadline for registration, there were two people who registered as governor candidates, namely the Head of LKPP Hendrar Prihadi and former Chairman of the Central Java DPRD Rukma Setyabudi.

The other three registrants for the prospective deputy governor candidate for each Klaten Regent Sri Mulyani, former Deputy Governor of Central Java Heru Sudjarmoko, and member of the Riyanta DPR.

"From those who returned the form, two were complete, Mr. Hendi and Mrs. Sri Mulyani," said the Deputy Chairperson of the Central Java PDIP DPD as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, May 30.

As for the other candidates, he said, there is still something that must be completed as soon as possible.

In addition to the five registrants for the Central Java Governor Election, the Central Java PDIP also received four registrants for the prospective regent/deputy regent.

The four people who registered were Mahendra Farizal for the candidate positions for Deputy Regent of Purbalingga, Muhammad Iqbal and Jadug Trimulyo Ainul Amri as candidates for the Regent of Jepara, and Bima Eka Sakti as candidates for Deputy Regent of Tegal

The registration file, he said, would then be submitted to the Central Java PDIP DPD for further nomination.

PDIP Central Java has opened registration for candidates for regional heads who will advance in the regional elections from 22 to 30 May 2024.

It is recorded that two candidates for governor and four prospective deputy governor candidates will take the registration form. The 2024 regional elections are planned to be held in November 2024
