Still In The Training Process, Democrats Invite PAN To Carry Zita Anjani In The Jakarta Pilkada

JAKARTA - The Democratic Party has invited PANs who wish to carry out their cadres who are also Deputy Chairperson of the Jakarta DPRD, Zita Anjani. The party chaired by Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) will consider PAN recommendations if they are proposed to the coalition. "Yes, please, whoever is the candidate who appears in the selection process is all under consideration. Later it is just waiting for who is the other candidate," said the Chairman of the Democratic BPOKK, Herman Khaeron, Wednesday, May 29. Herman explained, until now the Democrats have not recommended a single name to run in the Jakarta gubernatorial election. Therefore, his party opens a wide door for the candidates for the 2024 Jakarta cagub and vice governors during the current screening process. "Until now, the Democrats have not. Anyway, this screening process has not been opened as wide as possible and in order to attract all parties, all candidates. So we don't first give up a superior name and so on, so that this screening process can really be wider," explained Herman. The National Mandate Party (PAN) continues to seek the name of its cadre, Zita Anjani, to become a candidate for deputy governor (cawagub) in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada. It is known that Zita is the son of the General Chair of PAN, Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) who is now serving as Deputy Chair of the Jakarta DPRD.

"Many PAN cadres have the potential to advance in the Jakarta regional elections. And what we will encourage is Zita Anjani," said Deputy PAN, Viva Yoga Mauladi, to reporters, Monday, May 27. The reason PAN is determined to carry Zulhas' daughter as cawagub is that one of them has experience as a leader of the Jakarta DPRD. In addition, Zita is considered to have a social base and is close to the community. "She is also a woman, of course this female gender factor affects electability," explained Viva.

Viva admitted that PAN continues to communicate with other political parties to deal with the Jakarta Pilkada. PAN, said Viva, is ready to carry whoever the governor candidate is as long as Zita Anjani is elected as her deputy.

"We will encourage Zita Anjani as deputy governor. Later who will be paired with, we will see the political dynamics," said Viva.
