Interstudent Clashes In Duren Sawit: High School Children Bring Sickles And Samurai, I'm Afraid To Be Targeted

JAKARTA - Two groups of gangsters were again involved in clashes using various types of sharp weapons and firecrackers on Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Pondok Kopi, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta.

The incident was recorded by amateur videos by local residents who saw clashes. From the video footage, it can be seen that two groups of teenagers swinging sharp weapons at each other's bodies.

In addition to sharp weapons and blunt objects such as wood and stones, they also fired firecrackers at the opponent. This brawl was carried out in the middle of the highway.

"Children are still in high school. Bring sickles, samurai and firecrackers. I am afraid of being targeted," said Feri, a resident around the location, Wednesday, May 29.

Feri explained that the brawl lasted almost 30 minutes.

"The brawl took a long time, more than half an hour," he said.

This brawl occurred allegedly just because they mocked each other between the two groups, then they made an appointment through social media to meet.

"There are 50 perpetrators of brawls. There are often once every two days of brawls here. I hope that Binmaspol will protect it so that it is safe and does not make you restless, afraid to be the victim of the wrong target, it will be troublesome," he said.
