BANJARBARU - Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia Hasyim Asy'ari invited the public, especially in South Kalimantan Province (Kalsel) to make the success of the general election (election) some time ago as capital for the succession of the 2024 regional head election (pilkada).

The implementation of the 2024 General Election in South Kalimantan takes place safely, orderly, and smoothly. We make this success the main capital for the success of the 2024 regional elections, both at the provincial level and in 13 districts/cities in South Kalimantan," said Hasyim in Banjarbaru City, Monday, May 27 evening.

Hasyim was present in Banjarbaru City during the agenda of launching the 2024 Pilkada in South Kalimantan accompanied by South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor, South Kalimantan KPU Chairman Andi Tenri Sompa, Forkopimda elements, along with a number of other regional officials.

"I also remind you that in order to vote in the 2024 regional elections, prospective voters must be registered with the KPU," he said.

Therefore, said Hasyim, the South Kalimantan KPU and its staff in 13 regencies/cities will visit residents' homes in the context of updating and drafting a voter list in the 2024 regional elections.

Hasyim asked the public to be actively involved in assisting the KPU in the process so that the implementation of the regional elections can take place in an orderly, safe and smooth manner.

He hopes that the simultaneous regional elections in this province will run democratically and have integrity in accordance with the choice of the community.

"Let's welcome the 2024 regional elections in an orderly and safe manner. We will use the 2024 election as capital for the succession of regional elections which will take place on November 27, 2024," said Hasyim.

After the launch of the 2024 South Kalimantan Governor and Deputy Governor Election, the event was continued with entertainment for the top band concerts from Armada and Fourtwnty which were presented by the South Kalimantan KPU at Murjani Field, Banjarbaru City.
