JAKARTA - The Constitutional Court (MK) has begun to hold a trial to prove 106 cases of dispute over the results of the general election (PHPU) or dispute over the results of the 2024 Legislative Election today, Monday 27 May 2024.

This trial of proof will last in a marathon for the next week or until June 3, 2024.

"A total of 106 cases, proof hearings," said the spokesperson for the Constitutional Court, Fajar Laksono via text message received, Monday, May 27.

According to Fajar, this trial of proof was held in the form of a panel divided into three. The judge's composition followed the previous panel when submitting the petitioner's petition and the respondent's answer. "Yes (technically the trial) returns to their respective panel sessions," explained Fajar.

Furthermore, Fajar said the litigants in the evidentiary trial would be given the same opportunity to present witnesses and experts, believing that a maximum of six people. "Each party in one case is given the opportunity to present six witnesses/experts," Fajar concluded.

Previously, the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Suhartoyo revealed that the Constitutional Court limited the number of witnesses and experts who would provide information at the evidentiary trial, namely five witnesses and one expert.

It is known, the total cases of the 2024 Legislative Election dispute were 297 cases and 191 cases had died at the trial, for example.
