3 Days Of Search, Tourists Drowning On Jetis Beach Found Dead

A tourist from Banyumas who was traveling was dragged by the waves at Jetis Beach, Cilacap Regency, Central Java, was found dead, Sunday, May 26, 2024. The victim's body was evacuated and taken to the nearest health center for autopsy purposes.

"The search for the third day of the joint SAR team managed to find the victim on behalf of Faqih, a boarding school student from Jatilawang. The body was taken to the puskesmas and then handed over to the family for burial," said Dantim Basarnas Cilacap Sigit Purnomo.

The victim was found by the joint SAR team dead, with a stranded position on the shoreline about 300 meters from the scene to the west.

It is known that the victim is Mohammad Ali Faqih (13 years), a resident of Cikawung Village, Pekuncen District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java, who is also a student at one of the boarding schools in Jatilawang. Faqih was dragged by the waves while traveling on Jetis Beach, Cilacap on Thursday afternoon, May 24.

For the purposes of the autopsy, the victim's body was evacuated and taken to the local health center. Then, the body was handed over to the family for burial.
