The Class I Cirebon Penitentiary, West Java, revealed that seven people convicted of Vina's murder are now being investigated by West Java Regional Police investigators to help reveal the whereabouts of the remaining perpetrators who are still at large.

Head of the Cirebon Class I Prison Inmates Development Division, Iwan Darmawan, said that the temporary transfer of the convicts in the Vina murder case from Cirebon Prison was carried out according to procedures because the police had sent an official letter asking for additional information from the convicts.

"There was a request from the West Java Regional Police to borrow the seven inmates for further investigation," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 22.

Iwan said seven convicts of Vina's murder were taken to Bandung on Monday (20/5), then placed in Banceuy Prison and Rutan Kebonwaru Bandung.

While in Bandung, all convicts involved in the case were re-examined by West Java Police investigators for additional information collection.

"For the West Java Regional Police, it depends on the length of the examination. So, the transfer is a borrower," he said.

After being sentenced to life in the Vina murder case, the convicts were immediately placed in Cirebon Class I Prison since June 2017.

"They were sentenced to life, so there was no remission, but there was a criminal change. After they (went a sentence of) five years, they could be proposed to get a criminal change," he said.

Iwan ensured that during their sentence, the convicts always behaved well and followed the personality coaching program and independence carried out by prisons.

"They are also given personality coaching and independence. There are no problems with the inmates, especially with prisons," he added.

Previously, the West Java Regional Police arrested Pegi alias Perong, who is one of three people on the wanted list (DPO) or fugitives in the murder cases of Vina and Muhammad Rizky or Eky in Cirebon.

The arrest of Perong was carried out in the city of Bandung on Tuesday (21/5) and the perpetrator is currently undergoing investigation by investigators.
