Wednesday Morning, Men Found Dead Covered In Blood On The Matraman KRL Line

JAKARTA - A man with the initials NA (32), a resident of Matraman, was found dead covered in blood, was struck by a train on the Jalan Kayumanis 1 Lama crossing, Palmeriam Village, Matraman District, East Jakarta.

"From the witness examination, the incident began when the victim came out of the direction of Palmeriam Market, Matraman, East Jakarta. Then came the tawang Jaya train which headed from Senen to Jatinegara Station simultaneously," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Matraman Police, AKP M Zen when confirmed, Wednesday, May 22.

After the train approached, other residents who were about to cross the railroad track stopped waiting for the train to pass. However, the victim entered the railroad track when the train approached.

"The victim immediately jumped into the railroad crossing. The track guard shouted at him but the victim was hit and dragged 50 meters from the scene," he said.

The train track guard shouted at the victim "Sir, watch out for the train". The victim also turned around but the train honked the warning horn.

"He was hit. He was taken to the RSCM for a post-mortem et repertum," he said.

The case of the accident is still being handled by the Matraman Police. The police also examined two witnesses related to the incident.
