Puri Bali Leader Supports North Bali Airport Development

JAKARTA - A number of Puri figures or Royal figures in Bali support PT BIBU Panji Sakti to start the construction of North Bali International Airport on the coast of North Bali Buleleng Added, for equitable development in Bali Province.

A number of Puri figures who met at Pura Ageng Blangbatuh Gianyar Bali, namely Raja Klungkung Ida Dalem Semara Putra, the figure of Puri Agung Pelihatan Ida Cokorda Gde Putra Nindya, the figure of Puri Agung Blabatuh Anak Agung Ngurah Kakarsana.

Then the figure of Puri Anyar Kerambitan Anak Agung Ngurah Bagus Erawan, the figure of Puri Anom Tabanan Anak Agung Ngurah Panji Astika, the figure of Puri Anyar Tabanan Anak Agung Ngurah Agung Juliartawa, and the figure of Puri Agung Singaraja Anak Agung Ngurah Ugrasena.

In addition to these figures, representatives of 13 village heads, groups of fishermen, Kelian Adat, and Pengempon Pura Pembuhan were also present, from the indigenous village community.

Chairman of the Puri Agung Council of figures throughout Bali, as well as King of Klungkung Ida Dalem Semara Putra at his presentation explained that North Bali airport is a necessity for equitable development in Bali, so development is not piled up in South Bali.

"North Bali Airport has many benefits. As Balinese, I support the development," he said.

The Puri leaders considered that the efforts of PT BIBU Panji Sakti to build North Bali airport were well responded to by the public with high hopes that North Bali would progress and there would be an equitable development throughout Bali.

With airport construction, there is a reduction in unemployment, improvement in infrastructure, opening of new economic centers and others.

Representative of 13 Village Heads of Buleleng Made Suyasa who served as Head of Bulian Village, Kubu Added District, Buleleng stated that the construction of North Bali Airport did not affect the balance of life of socioreligious Balinese people on the Niskala route.

"We, the community, are very supportive and ready to oversee the development. Nature supports it because it is not injured," he said.

Meanwhile, the President Director of PTBIBU Panji Sakti, Erwanto Sad Adiatmoko, said that the construction of North Bali Airport had reached the stage to be carried out after obtaining recommendations and decisions from the relevant Ministry.

"We will carry out this execution before 2026. This means that we have two years. Technically, we have built two years in one runway. Our design is two floors and God willing, in 2026, we can already share tasks with Ngurah Rai Airport," he said.

He explained that PTBIBU Panji Sakti targets the construction of North Bali Airport to be completed in October 2026, with a working time of 18 months above an area of 900 hectares.

The construction will open up the field to 200 thousand workers both at airports and airport buffer areas.

Moreover, in the concept, apart from the airport, there will be an Aerocity or airport city, Aeropolis to Baliwood which will become the center of world films.

The total funds needed for the construction of North Bali Airport are IDR 50 trillion with an estimated IDR 17 trillion to build an airport, and the rest is for the construction of a buffer zone for Aerocity airport of IDR 900 billion, Aerotropolis to Baliwood. The funds will be taken from investment funds, not the state budget.

Erwanto stated that there were no land sale and purchase transactions and no transfer of ownership, there were leases from residents who owned the land so that land ownership remained in the hands of residents.

"There is no transfer of land ownership. We want to build together," he said.

In order to prepare Aerotropolis, PT BIBU Panji Sakti has also collaborated with a number of companies, including those engaged in the metaverse, finance, property, logistics, telecommunications, energy, digital data center, MICE, and so on.
